The Escondido History Center has operated a museum in Grape Day Park since 1976. Their museum includes the city's first public library, Santa Fe Depot, a Victorian country home, barn, railroad car with model train and a recreation of the Bandy Blacksmith Shop. Their office is open Monday-Saturday from 8am-4pm. Museum hours Tuesday-Saturday from 1pm-4pm.
Also located in the park, the Escondido Children's Museum has both indoor and outdoor exhibit spaces. Their original, interactive exhibits will captive the child in your life. Check their site for current hours and programs.
The Arts Center is located on the eastern side of the park. The world class facilty includes an art museum and two concert halls. Visit their website for their museum and performing arts schedules.
City Hall is on the southern edge of the park. Limited parking in the roundabout accessible from Broadway, or use the Woodward street parking lot and walk across the park. Recreational classes and pool hours available on their website.
The Escondido Arts Partnership is the city's art agency. Visit their gallery on the corner of Grand at Juniper for wonderful exhibits in a variety of mediums.
